Karenga, Uganda: The state minister for ethics and integrity Mrs Lilly Akello is currently in a hot soup from her voters after her involvement in distributing iron sheets with the implicated state minister for Karamoja affairs Ms Agness Nadutu for stealing iron sheets.
Mrs Nandutu and her boss Marry Goreti Kitutu are still facing charges of diverting the iron sheets which were meant to uplift the living standards of Karimojong reformed warriors.
The two and others facing trial from anti corruption courts, however last week without any shame, Ms. Nandutu went to Karenga and Kaabong to flag off the distribution of iron sheets which government later procured.
This has manager many voters of Karenga district after seeing their woman member of parliament Rose Lily Akello flagging the distribution of the iron sheets with Implicated Nandutu.
Mathew Longole warned that should their woman member of parliament continues associating with Nandutu, that will be the end of her journey in Parliament.
“When your cloth is made up of cassava leaves and you be friend a goat will you survive,” he asked.
Immaculate Angolere another support wandered as to why someone who holds ethics office can associate with a person who’s implicated on theft.
“In fact President Museveni should forgive us not to allow these two ministers keep on coming to Karamoja,”She said.
Sailus Ilukol another supporter called minister Akello to say away from the implicated ministers or else they will vote her out.
Several attempts to get a comment from minister Akello were futile as she could not pick up our repeated calls.
