Investment Minister Hon Evelyn Anite withdrew the ambulance service that she had donated to Koboko Health Center IV after losing her re-election bid in 2021.
Anite, who had bragged about being the “gateway to Koboko,” had lost to Dr Francis Ayume in a landslide defeat. Instead of accepting her loss with grace, she chose to punish her constituents by taking away their ambulance.
In a tweet that will forever be etched in the minds of many, Anite callously boasted, “I actually did it, and I am very proud of my action. Once they said go away, I packed all my belongings and left them. now I hear people crying as if I was the first one to call it quits. The Bible says the wage of sin is death.”
@AfricaFactsZone, Thank you for bringing this up. First, it's true I took back my ambulance & I have no apologies for that. Why did I do it? It's because they didn't vote for me. So did you expect me to walkaway with nothing? Galatians 6:7 A man reaps what he sows. https://t.co/H9JKc94fC6

Her heartless move attracted widespread condemnation and disbelief, as it threatened the lives of those who relied on this essential service for urgent medical care.
It remains unknown if Anite still harbors political ambitions in Koboko, but her actions have shown that she is more interested in settling personal scores than serving the people.
