The Office of the National Chairman, under the leadership of Senior Presidential Advisor (SPA) and National Coordinator of the Bazzukulu Mobilisation Group – Hajjati Hadijah Namyalo, held a significant end-of-year prayer event at their office in Kyambogo Lower Estate today.
In this colorful religious ceremony, the National Coordinator brought together the foot soldiers of the party from all districts of Uganda. The leadership of the Party, including the 1st Vice National Chairman of NRM – Al Hajji Brig (Rtd) Moses Ali, the Secretary General of NRM, Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong, Vice Chairman for Buganda Region – Hon. Salongo Godfrey Kiwanda, CEC Member, and Minister of State in Charge of Veteran Affairs Hon. Huda Oleru, various Ministers, MPs, religious leaders, and political leaders from the local divisions of Kampala, led by Mayor Salim Uhuru, were also present.
SPA Hadija Namyalo expressed gratitude to the attendees for sparing their time and contributing to the leadership cause through prayer and thanksgiving. She emphasized that this foundation of prayer is crucial for the success of NRM and Uganda as a whole, as the nation is built on a foundation of faith.
SPA Namyalo, who also serves as the Personal Assistant to the NRM National Chairman, H.E General Yoweri Museveni, thanked the party leaders for their wise counsel, especially in the face of media attacks against the enthusiasm she has brought to the Office of National Chairman. She highlighted the positive limelight the socio-economic and political activities of the office, in line with the President’s message of economic empowerment, have brought, especially among the youthful population.
The 1st National NRM Vice Chairman, Al Hajji Moses Kigongo, commended the organizers of the end-of-year prayers, led by SPA Hadija Namyalo, for not wavering from the fear of the Lord. He emphasized that this commitment would enhance trust in the country’s leadership, considering that the current office bearers have not misused the trust placed in them by H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the President of Uganda and the vision bearer of NRM. Kigongo encouraged members to work harder in spreading the party’s gospel, starting with patriotism.
The NRM Secretary General, Rt. Hon. Todwong, expressed gratitude to the ONC leadership under SPA Namyalo for their fantastic cooperation with the NRM Secretariat. He pledged to continue the teamwork, as it would strengthen NRM both at the national and grassroots levels.
This marks the second time that the Office of the National Chairman, under the leadership of SPA Hadijah Namyalo, has organized prayers. The first was in respect of the NRM Chairman’s recovery from the deadly Covid-19 disease.
