Igara East MP Mawanda Rallies Support as PLU Strengthens Mobilisation Drive

KAMPALA, UGANDA — The Member of Parliament for Igara East County and Director of Mobilisation at the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), Michael Mawanda, today held a series of strategic meetings at the PLU secretariat in Naguru, Kampala, aimed at strengthening the league’s grassroots mobilisation efforts.

Hon. Mawanda met Dr. Kisembo Tendo and Mrs. Sanyu Mary, who paid him a courtesy visit to discuss mobilisation strategies focused on expanding PLU’s presence across Uganda and the wider East African region.

During the meeting, Dr. Kisembo expressed his commitment to supporting the league’s agenda and pledged to actively mobilise support both nationally and regionally. Mrs. Sanyu Mary also reaffirmed her readiness to work closely with PLU structures to enhance outreach and coordination efforts.

In a separate engagement held today, Hon. Mawanda also met Miss Natukunda Rose during her courtesy visit to the PLU secretariat in Naguru. Their discussions similarly centred on strengthening mobilisation networks and encouraging broader participation in the league’s activities.

Hon. Mawanda welcomed the growing support, emphasising that unity and collective effort remain central to PLU’s mobilisation strategy. “Tuko Pamoja,” a phrase symbolising solidarity and togetherness, reflected the spirit of the engagements as stakeholders pledged to work jointly towards advancing the league’s objectives.

The Patriotic League of Uganda continues to attract new supporters aligned with its mobilisation and outreach agenda, signalling sustained momentum for the organisation’s expansion efforts.
