NRM Publicity Secretary-elect for Lira District, Hon. Ogwang Moses Obua, has urged NRM party members and supporters in Lira District to continue mobilizing for H.E. the President as they await future communication from Dr. Tanga Odoi, the NRM Electoral Commission Chairman, regarding pending elections.
Ogwang Obua was addressing the media from Lira City at DA Grill Restaurant on Sunday, June 1, 2025, in the evening.
In a bid to build a strong foundation for a brighter future for NRM supporters and delegates in Lira District, Mr. Moses Ogwang Obua, the NRM publicity secretary-elect, called for patience among NRM elected delegates. According to him, he is committed to the mobilization of NRM ideology and the four (4) core principles of the NRM party in Lira District.
He said, “Through continued mobilization towards proper economic growth by improving the standards of their living through the real wealth creation gospel as has always been preached by H.E. the President, Lira District will prosper soon.”
Moses Ogwang Obua’s track record speaks for itself, as he is well known for promoting peace, integrity, and prosperity among all NRM supporters in Lira District, urging all party delegates to be calm.
Recently, Dr. Tanga Odoi, the NRM Electoral Commission Chairman, urged both Lira Woman MP, Hon. Auma Linda Agness, and Senior Presidential Advisor in charge of Lango Zone, Hon. Sam Engola, to reach a mutual understanding regarding the tension surrounding the election of the Lira District NRM party chairperson. He threatened to postpone the election in Amolatar and Lira districts until June 2026.
It is on this note that the publicity secretary-elect of Lira District, Moses Ogwang, wants all the various elected district NRM executives to continue mobilizing for the party as they await the final communication from the NRM Secretariat about the pending positions, which shall be rearranged and voted for as far as NRM Secretariat communication is concerned.
Moses Ogwang Obua comes from Ayami Sub-county in Lira District, and he has been a senior NRM cadre for years.
