Yesterday, Bobi Wine, Ugandan opposition leader and former presidential candidate, marked the fourth anniversary of the tragic death of comrade Ritah Nabukenya. The memorial service was held in Kateera-Kiboga, the final resting place of Nabukenya.

On the fateful day of February 24, 2020, Ritah Nabukenya met her untimely demise when she was pursued and fatally struck by a police patrol vehicle with registration number UP 4841. She was en route to attend a consultative meeting organized by Bobi Wine’s camp, in preparation for his presidential candidature in the 2021 elections.

Nabukenya’s passing left behind two young children, whom Bobi Wine and other well-wishers continue to support. Even after four years, Bobi Wine and his supporters are steadfast in their demand for accountability for Ritah’s death. They seek justice and call for the responsible officers to be brought to account for their actions.

In addition to commemorating Ritah Nabukenya’s tragic death, Bobi Wine took to his X platform to extend birthday wishes to the King of Buganda, commemorating his 69th birthday. In a message shared in Luganda, Bobi Wine expressed well wishes for the King and prayers for his continued leadership and guidance over the Buganda kingdom.
