There is already panic in Pader district, Gulu City, Nakawa, and among some presidential candidates as Dr. Samuel Otto Odonga is playing his last card by deciding which positions and places to contest in the 2026 elections. This was revealed to our news desk in an interview with Dr. Samuel Otto Odonga on Tuesday evening.

However, Odonga Otto is targeting the LCV seat of Pader district, currently occupied by Col. Obwoya Fearless. Meanwhile, Otto is also considering unseating MP Komakech Christopher, the current Aruu County MP, in 2026.

In a related development, he wants to contest in Gulu City as an MP. Odonga also mentioned that he is capable of being an MP in Nakawa Division. Lastly, Odonga Otto noted that he is even being advised to be a presidential candidate under the ticket of the RPP party if the time comes.

Odonga Otto added that no intimidation will be tolerated in the forthcoming 2026 general elections because, in the recent election, his votes were allegedly rigged and declared without his presence in Pader district. He cited several people in Acholi sub-region who are known non-performers at both the district and parliamentary levels and need to be relieved of their duties by the electorate in Acholi sub-region.

He stated that he is currently taking a political break but will return to the political arena in 2026.
