Niwaha Francis Vows Inclusive Leadership at Bugarama Community Match in Kabale

Niwaha Francis, also known as Etara Yabuhara and the flag bearer for Buhara Sub-county in Ndorwa East, Kabale District, has vowed to provide inclusive leadership for a better Buhara Sub-county. He made the remarks on Sunday, 16th November 2025, during a friendly football match between Married Men and Singles from Bugarama Parish at the Bugarama playground.

Addressing the large crowd after the match, which ended in a 1–1 draw, Niwaha Francis—who is also a journalist—urged the public to support his candidature in the upcoming February elections for the development of Buhara Sub-county. He pledged to be a people-centered leader and to consistently provide accountability regarding development projects within the sub-county.

LC5 councilors for Buhara Sub-county, Hon. Hilary Byamukama and Hon. Annet Kabagambe, announced district plans to establish a Health Center III in Bugarama Parish, as well as a water tank to improve livelihoods in the community.

Hon. Trust Kyomugisha, a candidate for Kabale District Woman MP, and Hon. Alexander Kyokwijuka, a candidate for Ndorwa East, also pledged to provide effective representation in Parliament once elected.

The football match, which attracted hundreds of enthusiastic supporters, also drew journalists from Kabale-based radio stations, including Libino Byamukama of Hope Radio, Kabaya, and Rwamutwe of Rubanda FM, among others.
