Former Uganda Cranes Winger Ibrahim Buwembo Dies

Ibrahim Buwembo, a former left winger for Uganda Cranes and Express Football Club, has passed away at Mengo Hospital on Friday after an illness. Buwembo, known for his controversial career, was a key player in the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup-winning Uganda Cranes team in 1992. Additionally, he contributed to Express’s victory in the 2001 Uganda Cup. Buwembo, who played for various clubs including State House, Coffee, Super Cubs, Simba, and teams in the Middle East, later established himself as a radio sports pundit, participating in numerous programs over the past decade.
