The Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) for Kumi District, Mr. Kyomya James, accompanied by the Assistant RDC for Kanyum, on 11th December 2025 conducted an impromptu monitoring visit to Atutur Hospital to assess the status of health service delivery at the facility.
During the inspection, Mr. Kyomya expressed satisfaction with the professional conduct and timely response of the medical personnel on duty. He commended the staff for their dedication and patriotic service to the community.
The RDC also reviewed the latest drug consignments delivered by the National Medical Stores (NMS). He noted that essential medicines were well-stocked, properly managed, and being utilised effectively, a sign of improved supply and accountability at the hospital.
While interacting with patients who had come to seek medical care, Mr. Kyomya received positive reports indicating that they were being attended to promptly and at no cost, with no solicitation of payments at any level of service delivery.
Mr. Kyomya further appreciated H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for his continued efforts to strengthen the health sector and ensure that Ugandans receive quality healthcare.
“We continue to receive monthly medical supplies from NMS, and you can clearly see the availability of the most commonly used drugs at the facility. This is a result of the able leadership of His Excellency the President,” he remarked.
The RDC reaffirmed his office’s commitment to regular monitoring to ensure that service delivery at Atutur Hospital continues to meet the highest standards expected by the public.
