Rukiga District NRM Youth League Chairperson, Bob Atwine, who also serves as the Secretary for Finance in the District Youth Council, has announced his bid for the position of Secretary for Labour Affairs in the National Youth Council for the 2025–2030 term.
Atwine has pledged to bring transformative change to the council by promoting inclusive representation and active youth participation in national development.
His campaign is centered around key priorities such as youth-led policy formulation and implementation, skills development, capacity building, and advocacy for youth employment and entrepreneurship.
Additionally, Atwine is committed to introducing mental health and wellness support systems for young people, acknowledging the growing need for emotional and psychological well-being in youth empowerment programs.
“My vision is to ensure that every Ugandan youth has access to opportunities for growth, development, and success,” Atwine said. “I will work to amplify the voices of the youth and bring their concerns to the forefront of national decision-making.”
With his grassroots experience and strong district-level track record, Atwine believes he is well-positioned to represent the interests of Ugandan youth on a national platform.
