Marine Forces play a crucial role in safeguarding Uganda’s sovereignty and territorial integrity on water. With Uganda’s significant water resources, including lakes, rivers, and internal water bodies, the Marine Forces are essential for patrolling territorial waters, detecting illegal activities, and supporting civil authority operations.

The strategic location of Uganda’s water bodies, such as Lakes Albert, Edward, and Victoria, along with the River Nile, underscores the importance of a strong and capable Marine Brigade in addressing security, socio-economic, and diplomatic challenges.
