The Uganda People’s Defence Forces’ (UPDF) 303 brigade of the First Division has bid farewell to its outgoing commander, Col. Edward Kaddu, who is retiring after 42 years of service.
Col. Kaddu, who joined the army in the 1980s at the age of 17, has served in various capacities throughout his career.
Stepping into his shoes is Col. Allan Matsiko, who assumes the role of the new commander of the 303 brigade.
The transition marks a significant change in leadership within the brigade, as Col. Matsiko takes on the responsibility of leading the unit into its future missions and operations.
