Three people were seriously injured in a road accident that occurred this morning on the Adjumani-Sinyanya road. A Premio vehicle, registration number UAT 761D, was traveling from Adjumani to Obongi when the accident happened.
Two passengers sustained serious injuries, while the driver, Arafati Kawere, was also severely injured due to excessive speeding.
All three injured individuals were rushed to Adjumani Hospital for medical treatment.
Obongi Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka, who was involved in the rescue efforts, commended the quick response of the traffic police. He urged taxi drivers operating on the Adjumani-Obongi-Yumbe-Terego-Arua route to adhere to speed limits to prevent future accidents.
