Honestly speaking, the President has balanced his Cabinet

Steven Ariong

A human being created by God will always complain whether they have been done good or bad. I am sure even God Himself knows that the people He created will never stop complaining.

When it is time for drought, you find a human being crying a lot, saying let the rains return. When God releases the rains, still the human being will again complain that it is too much, so satisfying a human being is not easy.

This is the situation our President is currently experiencing after releasing the list of his Cabinet ministers. Already, one religious leader has tendered his dissatisfaction with the appointed ministers and, to him, the Muslim religion is only represented by a slice, which to me, in my own opinion, is not true.

I would like to name the appointed ministers to our Papa, the Mufti of Uganda, because I read in the media that his concern is that Muslims are not included.

Well, Papa the Mufti, your concern could be true, but this time around Mzee the President has really balanced his Cabinet. Look at the following names of ministers such as Lukia Nakadama, Minsa Kabanda, Amina Mukalazi, Kyeyune Haruna Kasolo, Anifa Kawooya, Aisha Sekindi, Siraji Musa Ali, and Nameere. These are eight ministers. Mind you, there are other Muslim officials in different positions.

To me, the President has really tried his best this time around in his appointments because, like anyone else, he cannot appoint everyone. What I would request Ugandans is to give support to the appointed ministers, President Museveni, and Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba so that service delivery can improve.

What matters is service delivery to the people. Otherwise, appointing everyone to the Cabinet without output in the community will never help the community get rid of poverty.

Thank you, Mr. President. Your appointments were balanced.
