When President Museveni appointed Hon. Robinah Nabanja as Prime Minister, several leaders raised their eyebrows because they believed the position was only reserved for men.
Some leaders castigated the appointment of Hon. Nabanja as a joke, while others claimed she could not even manage a cabbage collection firm. Well, that was their opinion. The woman from Kakumiro concentrated on her mandate, while the son of Mzee Kaguta quietly assessed her performance without them knowing.
When President Museveni planned his 2026 Cabinet reshuffle, all the talk in the corridors was about Hon. Nabanja. Everyone thought she would not retain her position, but little did the critics know that President Museveni had appreciated her method of work. She is a very aggressive leader, a good time manager, and delivers exactly the support the President entrusts her with whenever she represents him.
When it is time to mobilize support for the NRM, Hon. Nabanja leaves her Prime Ministerial title behind and takes to the stage, dancing in different styles to entertain the crowd.
Everything Hon. Nabanja is doing is reportedly not going well with a clique of leaders who have allegedly waged an underground campaign with the intention of tarnishing her image before the President, who is also the appointing authority.
Letters containing negative and baseless allegations against Hon. Nabanja have reportedly started reaching the President.
Meetings are reportedly being held in different hotels to discuss how to make the President lose trust in Nabanja.
Some of the people allegedly championing this campaign are ministers and commissioners within the Office of the Prime Minister.
We shall continue bringing you more details on this matter.
