Uganda will be the first country in the East African Community to introduce cable transport in hilly areas when, God willing, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba becomes President of Uganda.
When I say this, there are Ugandans who will not believe it, but as time goes on, they will come to believe it.
President Museveni would have introduced cable transport, but he had many things to put right in the country. Now that he has addressed many of those challenges, by the time Gen. Muhoozi takes over, he will introduce many new developments, which will include cable transport.
Cable transport is a system in which vehicles, passengers or goods are moved using steel cables or ropes powered by a central engine or counterweights.
General Muhoozi, the only “Badman General,” has outlined many things that he will put in place to help Uganda achieve middle-income status. So far, evidence of this is being seen through the fight against corruption in the Army, Police, local governments and the road sector.
What I am most happy about is that he will select very intelligent people for various positions, unlike some current confused ministers who are just bragging in front of the cameras, claiming to be fighting corruption without evidence.
The likes of Hon. Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi are among the intelligent ministers we have, unlike some of the rest, because they could disorganise the cable project since they are not even technical.
Long live our “Badman” Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, long live Jaja Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, and long live Mama Janet Museveni.
