During the campaigns, the only person that every candidate, be it Parliamentary or LCV candidates, could run to request for help was Annet Anita Among. They could even kneel down for her, help her put on her shoes without her herself touching the shoe; some were even washing her clothes for her.
They vowed never to disappoint her, but when the homes of Anita Among were raided following investigations on her alleged illicit enrichment, all those who used to hold her umbrella while talking have all vanished from her side.
Although Among is facing it alone, 80% of the money she looted from Parliament and outside Parliament business, she shared with these 90 MPs.
I would like to tell those MPs that even if you want to hide not to be seen close to the former Speaker Among again, we are going to expose all of you. We have your full names and amounts of money that you received from the former Speaker for your campaigns.
I know the amount of money that each region received to facilitate the winning of the MPs of Anita’s interest. In Teso, shs 560m for supporting the MPs of Anita’s interest; Karamoja received shs 340m; Acholi received shs 420m; Busoga received shs 520m; Hoima and Kakumiro received 350m; Bugisu received shs 290m; Lango received shs 210m.
Surprisingly, all those supported by Among won the elections in a shrewd way, including declaring others unopposed, like in Kakumiro.
Remember, whether you want to hide from Among, you will have to pay back that money. It is also a lesson to Among: next time, know the people you should deal with or support.
In our next write-up, we shall reveal all the names of those MPs in Parliament who were supported by Anita Among.
