The National Unity Platform (NUP) has officially launched its digital membership registration system, as announced by Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya and the party Secretariat on August 5, 2024. This new system is designed to streamline the registration process and make it easier for members to enroll and validate their membership status.

The digital registration system can be accessed through this PORTAL. This development follows a nationwide registration exercise that aimed to reach every corner of the country. Despite facing challenges, including attempts by the current regime to hinder the registration efforts, the process has made significant progress.

Feedback from party members both within Uganda and in the diaspora has led to the implementation of this digital system. The new mechanism is expected to facilitate easier access for members to enroll and verify their membership status.

The party aims to register over 10 million members across the country, viewing this as a crucial step in building a strong base of support. The goal is to strengthen the party’s position as it continues to work towards its mission of achieving civilian democracy and political change in Uganda.

Members who have already registered and received a physical membership card do not need to re-register. They can instead check their registration status to confirm if their details have been uploaded to the new system. The NUP team is currently working to update all records.
