Museveni Pledges UGX 20 Million for Bishop Wamika’s House

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni committed a generous financial contribution of sh20 million towards the construction of the residence of Bishop Charles Martin Wamika. Bishop Wamika has held the esteemed position of leading the Jinja Diocese since March 2, 2010.

The announcement of this pledge occurred as President Museveni made a stopover in Magamaga, following the official inauguration of a marine pier at the sustainment base located in Ntokoro, Mayuge District. In his address to the gathered audience, the President shared, “Please inform the Bishop that the 3rd Deputy Prime Minister, Lukia Isanga Nakadama, will personally deliver my financial contribution.”




Additionally, President Museveni expressed his gratitude to the audience for their unwavering support of the National Resistance Movement, while encouraging them to continue their strong allegiance to the party.




Local residents expressed their deep appreciation for President Museveni’s commitment to this noble cause. John Bosco, one of the residents, expressed their gratitude, saying, “We thank His Excellency so much for stopping by to greet us even with his busy schedule. We have been here fundraising for our Bishop’s home, today we are very happy to see our President also joining us.”




During another stopover in Wantoni-Mukono, the President took the opportunity to address the residents, promising, “I will find time to return and provide education on wealth creation and household income.” This commitment further underscores President Museveni’s dedication to fostering prosperity within the community.
