Kyabazinga Wilberforce Nadiope has called on parents in Busoga to prioritize their children’s education as a means to elevate literacy levels in the region.

At an event in Buwaidha village, Buyende district, Kyabazinga Nadiope, represented by his brother Arnold Nadiope, urged school proprietors to make education more affordable. This, he believes, will provide opportunities for less privileged and orphaned children to access quality education.

The Kyabazinga’s comments were part of a speech delivered during the commissioning of various development projects, including the Gasemba Patrick Clean Water Project, Tigawalana Abdu staff quarters, and a school van for New Life Pre-School.

In emphasizing the importance of parental investment in education, Kyabazinga Nadiope stressed that the educational progress of Busoga relies on such commitment.

Welcomed by Eng. Gerald Isabirye, the director of New Life Pre-School, and Ivan Kiirya, Busoga Kingdom’s finance state minister, Kyabazinga Nadiope’s presence marked the occasion.

Eng. Gerald Isabirye highlighted the Gasemba Patrick Clean Water Project’s significance, serving over 4,000 people in Buwaidha village at no cost. He urged leaders to ensure the maintenance of the borehole for its long-term functionality.

Buyende district LC5 chairperson, Michael Kanaku, announced the government’s commitment to tarmac four kilometers of the road passing through the school, as part of its low volume rural roads program.

District Police commander Jennifer Ayesiga commended district leaders for their collaboration with security agencies, fostering peace and stability in Buyende district.
