Authorities from Amecet Children’s Home have found two abandoned children. Simon Orugon, a social worker at the home, reported that the children were discovered at the Regional Referral Hospital in Soroti.
The toddlers, both males, have yet to be identified. They are currently in the care of Amecet Children’s Home. Sources at the hospital suggest that they were likely abandoned by their pregnant mother.
Merab Achomai, the police officer in charge of the Child and Family Protection Unit at Soroti Central Police Station, confirmed the handover of the two children to Amecet Children’s Home.
