A scandal involving a pregnancy has revealed a network of sexual activity at Stanbic Bank’s Soroti branch.
Information obtained suggests that last year, a female staffer known as Ademun (other name withheld), who was considered attractive, was transferred from Kotido to the Soroti branch.
Her transfer reportedly caused excitement among male staffers, and one by one, they pursued her romantically and successfully engaged in intimate relations with her.
Even employees in the Soroti regional office became aware of her relationships and reportedly took part as well. There are reports that this involved about five individuals.
However, recently, the woman began showing signs and symptoms of pregnancy, which were later confirmed.
Drama unfolded when attempts were made to determine the father of the child.
Initially, she accused a man named Alex, who denied it and promptly left for Kampala.
Then, she pointed fingers at a senior manager in the regional office. He also denied responsibility and resigned from his position.
Her appeals to another senior manager to take responsibility were ignored.
Colleagues at the bank were further shocked to learn that her relationships extended beyond the workplace. She had allegedly engaged in intimate relations with two prominent businessmen in Soroti town.
However, these men also denied responsibility.
Unfortunately, she resorted to terminating the pregnancy at a later stage (between 4 to 6 months), which reportedly put her life in danger. Thankfully, she has since recovered.
This scandal has instilled fear among female bank staffers, who are now apprehensive about being transferred to the Soroti branch due to the presence of sexually aggressive individuals there.
