Police in Mitooma District are currently searching for unidentified individuals who brutally murdered a 70-year-old woman under mysterious circumstances.
The victim, Bishiki Buradina, a resident of Nyaruzinga Cell in Katazo Parish, Mutara Sub County, was found dead on October 2, 2023, with a deep injury on the forehead.
According to Marcial Tumusiime, the spokesperson for the Greater Bushenyi Police, the incident is believed to have occurred on October 1, 2023, when the victim’s husband left her home for a walk. When he returned late at night, he found the door closed but not locked, and his wife missing. He waited for her return, but she never came back.
On October 2, 2023, family members woke up to find their pig missing from the coffee tree where it had been tied. While searching for the pig, they discovered the lifeless body of the deceased in a nearby stream.
The body was taken to Kitagata Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
