Police in Kicwamba Sub-County, Rubirizi District, have detained a man and a woman who were caught red-handed engaging in extramarital affairs.
The suspects are identified as Nyamwiza Agatha, 45, and Tumanyane William, also known as Kagofiri, the son of the late Ndamuzi. Both reside in Nyabubare 2B, Nyakashozi Parish, in Kicwamba Sub-County.
Nyamwiza Agatha, originally from Migyera, Katerera, is married to Muhwebwa Innocent, who has been working in Kampala for an extended period. The couple has five children.
It is alleged that Mr. Muhwebwa returned home unexpectedly around 2:00 AM and found only his children at home. The children informed him that their mother had been absent from the house for a significant period.
Mr. Muhwebwa immediately reported the matter to the LC1 Chairman and the police. Upon receiving the report, authorities conducted a thorough search and discovered Nyamwiza Agatha in the house of Tumanyane William while they were engaging in sexual intercourse. Police officers promptly arrested both individuals.
As of press time, the two suspects remain in police custody as investigations continue.
