ULGA President Andrew Awany Loses Kole NRM Chairperson Seat to Lillian Anyati in Broad Daylight

Lillian Anyati, a 65-year-old woman, emerged as the winner of the Kole NRM chairperson position after receiving 231 votes, defeating the ULGA President Moses Andrew Awany, who also serves as the Kole District Chairman.

A total of 343 voters were registered, according to Professor Joseph Ogwal Oyuku, the NRM electoral registrar for Kole District.




The NRM election registrar declared, “Lillian Anyati is duly elected as the NRM chairperson,” as her supporters celebrated jubilantly.




While addressing the press after her victory, Lillian thanked her supporters for their unwavering support and expressed gratitude to the NRM for organizing what she called a transparent and fair election through the lining-up voting method. She also thanked God for her victory, stating that she was openly voted into office by 231 people.




Speaking to the media after the polls, Hon. Dr. Opio Acuti Samuel, MP for Kole North, thanked the voters for turning out in large numbers and voting wholeheartedly.
