The incumbent LC5 Chairman for Isingiro District, Hon. Alone Turahi, has gone through unopposed for the same position in the upcoming NRM elections.
The declaration was made today, 17th June 2025, at the NRM Secretariat in Kyadondo when Hon. Aaron returned the nomination forms. This was confirmed by the NRM Electoral Commission Chairman, Dr. Tanga Odoi.
Hon. Alone Turahi is known for championing development in Isingiro District through collaborative leadership. He has been steadfast in fighting land grabbing in the district; this has earned him respect and trust from the locals.
Hon. Alone Turahi embraces inclusive leadership with respect. This has always kept him on good terms with elders, stakeholders, and locals in the district.
Through his impactful leadership, Isingiro District has been the best-performing district in the entire country for the last three financial years consecutively.
Turahi joined politics at a very youthful and useful stage. At the early age of 31, the people of Isingiro District trusted him with leadership, which he has performed with distinction.
He is a known loyal supporter of the NRM party, H.E. Museveni, and our next President, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
