Naked Intruder Arrested After Entering Girls’ Dormitory at Kangai SSS in Dokolo

KANGAI, DOKOLO – Police at Kangai Police Station are holding a 23-year-old man for allegedly breaking into a girls’ dormitory at Kangai Secondary School while completely naked, with the apparent intention of raping students, authorities have confirmed.

The suspect, identified as Jerome Lweny, a resident of Angai Cell, Angai Ward, Kangai Town Council, was arrested on Wednesday following a report from the school administration.

According to Paul Odoch, the Officer-in-Charge of Kangai Police Station, the school administration alerted police that an unidentified man had entered the female dormitory with criminal intentions.

“According to the school administration, Jerome Lweny entered the girls’ dormitory and slept on one girl’s bed while naked,” Odoch stated in a telephone interview.

The incident sparked outrage among students, who reportedly wanted to take the law into their own hands by attacking the suspect. Police and security personnel swiftly intervened and rescued Lweny from the angry students, who were reportedly attempting to kill him.

Joel Okello, the head teacher of Kangai SSS, strongly condemned the incident and called for enhanced security measures to protect students and ensure their safety.

“We are committed to protecting our students and ensuring their education is not disrupted by such criminal acts,” Okello said.

Morish Oye, the Chairperson of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of Kangai SSS, said the association would hold a meeting to address the matter and discuss measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Denis Ower, the LCIII Chairperson of Kangai Town Council, emphasized that the law must take its course and that the suspect should face the full weight of justice.

“We will follow this matter closely with the police and ensure that justice is served,” Ower stated.

The suspect has since been transferred to Dokolo Central Police Station, where he is currently being held as investigations continue. Police have confirmed that Lweny will face charges related to the incident once investigations are complete.

Authorities are also working to restore calm at the school and reassure parents and students about their safety.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
