The New York attorney general’s office has disclosed the anticipated dates for testimonies from Donald Trump and his adult children, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Ivanka Trump, in the ongoing $250 million civil trial against the former president and his company.
The schedule, presented by Kevin Wallace from Attorney General Letitia James’ office in court, outlines Donald Trump Jr.’s testimony on Wednesday, followed by Eric Trump on Thursday, and Ivanka Trump on Friday. The former president himself is expected to take the stand on November 6, serving as the final witness in the case.
It is noteworthy that both of Trump’s sons hold executive positions in their father’s company, while Ivanka Trump, a former executive and White House adviser, has played a significant role in the Trump organization.
Despite legal challenges, particularly from Ivanka Trump who contested the AG’s subpoena, Judge Arthur Engoron ruled in favor of her testimony. However, he granted her the opportunity to appeal this decision, allowing for a potential review of the ruling.
Trump’s legal team had argued against Ivanka Trump’s testimony, citing a previous appeals court ruling that removed her as a defendant due to statute of limitations concerns. They asserted that the attorney general’s office was persistently attempting to burden and harass President Trump’s daughter, contrary to the court’s decision to dismiss her from the case.
