Police Investigate Fire at Kisubi Girls School

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango has reported that the police’s fire brigade is conducting an investigation into a fire that occurred at St. Theresa Kisubi Girls Primary School in Wakiso district. The incident took place at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday when a girls’ dormitory was engulfed by flames.

According to Onyango, the fire resulted in significant damage, causing the destruction of property valued at millions of Ugandan shillings. Fortunately, the swift response of the fire brigade contained and extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading to other dormitories. Importantly, there have been no reports of fatalities or injuries related to the incident.

As the investigation unfolds, the cause of the fire remains uncertain, prompting the involvement of fire brigade teams and other experts who are diligently examining the circumstances surrounding the outbreak.
