The Police spokesperson for North Kyoga Region, SP Jimmy Patrick Okema, has issued a statement concerning the death of Ojuls Carlos, who fell from a motor vehicle.
The traffic police in Lira City West Division are investigating the circumstances under which a fatal road accident occurred on October 5, 2023, on Amuca Lira University Road at around 18:00 hours.
It is alleged that while on a motor vehicle registration number UBG 629M, an Isuzu van, blue in color, driven by one Ojuka Carlos, a resident of Adagayela village, Boke ward, Lira City East, Lira City, one only identified as Beja, a resident of Adagayela village, Boke ward, Lira City East, Lira City, fell off from the above motor vehicle and died instantly.
Police were informed, and the scene of the crime was visited immediately by traffic officers from Ojwina Police Station. The deceased’s body was picked up and conveyed to Lira Regional Referral Hospital’s mortuary pending postmortem.
However, the driver drove and reported himself at Central Police , Lira City, where the motor vehicle is parked. Inquiries into the matter are still ongoing.
