In a remote area near Kasenyi Landing site, the lifeless body of Corporal Henry Mawadri, a 36-year-old member of the Special Forces Command (SFC), was discovered outside a makeshift house on Monday morning. Local authorities and police from Entebbe have initiated an investigation into the incident.

According to reports, the soldier, who resided at the Sera Kasenyi Special Forces Command training school, was last seen on Sunday night, enjoying time with friends in the vicinity. His life took a tragic turn as his lifeless body was found around 8:30 am by passersby.

Luke Owoyesigire, the Deputy Police spokesperson of Kampala Metropolitan, stated that the police received information about the body within the Nkumba Bendegere area of Katabi Town Council in Wakiso District. Although the cause of death remains unknown, there were no apparent injuries on the soldier’s body, except for blood from the nose. The body has been transported to City mortuary Mulago for a postmortem examination.

During the investigation, a police sniffer dog led authorities to two rental rooms near the scene, but the occupants were absent. Local councillor John Muhiire commented on the situation, noting that marks on the ground suggested the soldier might have been harmed in a nearby establishment and then moved outside to where he was discovered. The investigation into this tragic incident is ongoing.
