Tooro King Explores Partnerships During Nigerian Visit

King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV of Tooro is currently in Nigeria on a visit to the Warri Kingdom in Delta State. The purpose of this visit is to explore potential collaborations, particularly in tourism and other partnerships.

Sources from the Toro palace indicate that the discussions aim to enhance the relationship between the two kingdoms. King Oyo expressed his gratitude to His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III for the warm welcome he received upon his arrival in Warri. In a post shared on the social media platform X, he emphasized the importance of strengthening cultural ties between the two kingdoms.




In another update, King Oyo shared his excitement about arriving in the vibrant Warri Kingdom. He stated, “Together, we embrace unity, culture, and the spirit of our people. Long live the bond between Tooro Kingdom and Warri Kingdom!”




On October 9, the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, hosted King Oyo to a grand reception at Aghofen Warri. This event brought together various dignitaries and community members, further solidifying the cultural exchange between the two regions.




During his visit, King Oyo engaged in meaningful discussions with Ogiame Atuwatse III. They explored various avenues for collaboration, focusing on agriculture, education, and cultural tourism. King Oyo also had the opportunity to experience the rich culture of Warri during his time at the royal palace.

The delegation from Tooro includes Kantu Joan Elsie Adyeri Kantu, the kingdom’s Minister of Tourism.
