Kole District, Uganda – A total of 704 candidates from Wisdom High School, Akalo in Kole District, were dedicated to God as they received blessings ahead of their national examinations for the year 2025.

The dedication prayers, held on October 9th (Independence Day), drew hundreds of parents, students, and well-wishers to the school campus.

The main celebrant at the event was Bishop Joseph Eletu of the Christian Revival Ministry (Soroti City), who led prayers and spiritual guidance for the 264 Senior Four (S.4) and 441 Senior Six (S.6) candidates.

The Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams are scheduled to begin on Monday, October 13th, with briefing sessions on Friday, October 10th, 2025. Meanwhile, the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) exams will commence in early November 2025.

Bishop Eletu encouraged students to remain prayerful and seek divine guidance as they approach their exams.

“Wisdom comes from God. The parents and teachers have done their part, and now it is your turn—with faith,” said Bishop Eletu.

School Confident in Strong Performance

Mr. Ogwal Ambrose, Executive Director of Wisdom High School, together with the Board of Governors and other school leaders, expressed strong confidence in the candidates’ readiness. He assured parents and the community that the students are well-prepared to perform excellently in both UCE and UACE exams.

“Our teachers have been active in class, giving their best. We are hopeful the students will perform very well when the results are released,” said Ogwal.

He also urged parents to continue supporting their children by clearing all school fees and ensuring they have the necessary learning materials, so students remain focused and stress-free as they prepare for UNEB exams.

Record-Breaking Candidate Enrollment

According to the school’s Headteacher, Mr. Daniel Bongo, the 2025 candidate class is the largest in the school’s history since its founding in February 2018.

“We have made full preparation for this year’s exams. The syllabus has been fully covered, and we’ve held multiple seminars with external facilitators to support our candidates,” Mr. Bongo stated.

He further predicted improved performance this year, attributing it to the academic discipline and commitment demonstrated by the candidates.

“This group is far more organized and academically prepared than in previous years,” he added.

Parental Support and Appreciation

One of the parents, identified only as Denish, urged fellow parents to motivate their children by clearing any remaining school fees.

Another parent, Akello Mary, praised the school as a place of joy, worship, and academic excellence with modern learning facilities.

She also commended the school’s director, saying:

“Mr. Ogwal is a talented, well-rounded leader. We are grateful for his dedication to academic excellence.”
