Chameleone Asks Ex-Wife Daniella Atim to Avoid Social Media Drama

(Kampala) – Daniella Atim has detailed her escape from her marriage to musician Jose Chameleone in a recent social media exchange, prompting him to request that she refrain from sharing their personal matters online. Daniella’s post claimed domestic violence and revealed her two year plan to leave the marriage safely.

On Friday, Daniella shared her story on her X account, explaining that she endured years of stress and violence before crafting a plan to exit her marriage. She stated, “I wasn’t a fan of social media, but I realized the importance of sharing my experience so that other women could learn from it and fight against domestic violence.” She emphasized that her intention was not to seek revenge against Chameleone but to encourage other women to take action against abuse.

Daniella revealed that she mentally distanced herself from her marriage in 2016, while keeping up appearances. She noted, “It’s dangerous to let them know when you’re done, so I continued to act as if everything was fine.” In 2018, she managed to leave her home with her children, taking only what she wore and later seeking refuge with family and friends. Daniella described her struggle to build a new life, working multiple jobs to support her five children.

Over the years, she reported progress, including enrolling her children in private schools, becoming a homeowner, and pursuing legal action against those who threatened her. In 2023, she secured a restraining order against her ex-husband, expressing her desire for no contact with him. She concluded her post by encouraging other women to act decisively, sharing, “My only regret is not leaving sooner.”

In response to Daniella’s revelations, Chameleone expressed disappointment, wishing that their personal issues could remain private for the sake of their children. He asserted that he was aware of her plans, stating, “I could tell she was planning something unusual.” While acknowledging his past with Daniella, he expressed hope for peaceful co-parenting and wished her well in her future endeavors.

Chameleone also noted his confidence in moving forward, saying, “I am a well standing, nice looking man. I have what women look for, and I will find another woman at the right time.” He requested that Daniella keep her life private, cautioning that social media is not the appropriate platform for personal matters.
