Katakwi Youth Urged to Guard Land Jealously

The aspiring member of parliament for Ngariam county Mr Dan Mulalu has cautioned the youth in Katakwi to avoid selling land for acquiring motorcycles saying land is a permanent asset which must be guard jealously.

Mr.Mulalu is the private secretary to President Museveni in charge of mobilization and he has declared his interest to contest for Ngariam county which is being represented by State minister for Sports Mr Peter Ogwang.

As a sign of sign of supporting the public, Mr.Mulalu has donated more than 1,000 ironsheets for roofing churches and mosques in the district.

He has also repaired 100 boreholes in the county, installed solar systems to 14 primary schools and bought electrical hospital beds to Katakwi general hospital.

Speaking to this publication Mr.Mulalu said he has noticed that many youth were rushing to sell their portion of land in order to buy motorcycles saying it should be stopped.

He promised to link the most hardworking bodaboda with the companies that can give them motrocycles on credit but pay it slowly.

He also cautioned them about the land of Ngariam, Lokeri which he said people must settle but not selling.

“We are producing children who will need land where will they go so please my brothers should gaurd land jealously,”he said.

He encouraged them to support government programs such as Emyooga, PDM and youth livelihood program which he said would help them to jumpstart life.End
