The police are putting a stop to NUP's shenanigans. Bobi Wine might want to think twice before he opens his mouth again. But who knows, maybe he'll find a way to sing his tune even louder under these new restrictions.

In a not-so-surprising move, the police have dropped the hammer on Bobi Wine and his National Unity Platform (NUP) crew. Why, you ask? Well, apparently, they couldn’t resist the temptation to stir the pot with their so-called “sectarian remarks.”

Fred Enanga, the police spokesperson, had quite the bone to pick with NUP. He claimed that these folks had thrown the rulebook out the window. See, NUP had agreed to some guidelines, but they decided to give those the cold shoulder. Mr. Enanga says that Bobi Wine’s party had been gallivanting around the country, gathering masses of people, and causing quite the ruckus since August 28.

But what’s got the police all hot and bothered? According to Enanga, these mobilization activities were more than just harmless gatherings. They were, in his words, “used to incite violence, promote sectarianism, and make a legitimate cause for removal of an elected government and issuance of defamatory statements against the person of the President.”
