My four-day experience in Cameroon gave me a reason to see why UPDF still shines as the most committed army towards protecting Uganda’s territory and its citizens.
After landing in Cameroon Airport, I was received by a friend who took me to the hotel where I was booked in; however, what I experienced there made me both regret and appreciate my country, Uganda.
I went through a series of roadblocks and checks, something not common in Uganda due to its peaceful environment.
Apart from going through that, a friend listed hundreds of cautions while in Cameroon—something that does not happen in Uganda.
In Uganda, every town has a lot of activities till morning hours without any interference or panic over insecurity.
That’s why I will always personally thank President Museveni, his son Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Chief of Defence Forces, and the mighty UPDF for protecting Uganda and making it the best country to live in.

Long live President Museveni! Long live Police! Long live CDF Gen. Muhoozi!
Ugandans have made a lot of money, and I have invested a lot due to the current peace and freedom in the country.
Ugandans may criticize our forces, but I have come to believe that without UPDF and other security agencies, Uganda wouldn’t be as peaceful as it is now.
