Ugandan chef Dorcus Mirembe, popularly known as Mama D, made history on December 28 by breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual. Mama D surpassed the previous record of 119 hours and 57 minutes held by Irish chef Alan Fisher, and she is determined to extend her feat until December 31.
The record-breaking cookathon took place at Zoe’s Cakes ‘n’ Bites in Kira, Wakiso district, where Mama D showcased her culinary skills with enthusiasm and danced her way into the record books.
