The National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer, Janet Adongo Rose Elau, has been officially nominated as a candidate to compete in the Dokolo District Woman Member of Parliament by-election.
The nomination process was overseen by the Independent Electoral Commission Returning Officer for Dokolo District, Mr. Ngobi Stephen Erikwaine at precisely 10:00 am on Monday.
In attendance during Mrs. Adongo’s nomination were key figures from the NRM, including the Director of Mobilisation, Honorable Hon Seninde, Mr. Samuel Eyenga, the Senior Manager of Mobilisation, and district leaders of the party.
Following her nomination, Mrs. Adongo addressed the media, expressing her gratitude for being selected to represent the NRM in this crucial by-election. She pledged to secure a resounding victory for the party.
“I am honored to carry the NRM flag in this by-election and I commit to collaborating with the people of Dokolo to drive social and economic transformation in our community,” Mrs. Adongo stated.
The voting for the by-election is scheduled to take place on March 21, 2024.
