Fatal Bathroom Fall Claims Life of Kampala Economist Patrick Kateihwaho

The passing of prominent economist and businessman Patrick Kateihwaho has left friends, family, and colleagues in mourning. Kateihwaho, who served as the Executive Director of Invespro Inc., reportedly suffered a fatal fall in his bathroom at his residence in Ministers Village, Ntinda, Kampala suburbs, on Friday evening, May 3rd. Despite efforts by his family to rush him to Independent Hospital, he tragically succumbed to his injuries. Details regarding the specific nature of his injuries remain undisclosed.

Kateihwaho’s contributions extended beyond the realm of economics, as he was also known for his successful ventures in business, particularly in the trade of processed fish. His sudden demise has left a void in both the economic and social fabric of Kampala and beyond.




As news of Kateihwaho’s passing spread, tributes poured in on social media from friends and acquaintances, reflecting on his intellect, wit, and generosity. Many remembered him for his keen insights into Uganda’s socio-economic and political landscape, as well as his unwavering patriotism.

Kateihwaho’s untimely death has once again drawn attention to a concerning trend of fatal incidents occurring in private bathrooms, claiming the lives of other prominent Ugandans in recent years.
