President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, for a State visit following an invitation from President William Ruto. This visit is aimed at enhancing the strong bilateral relationship between Uganda and Kenya and exploring new areas for cooperation that will benefit both nations.
President Museveni was warmly welcomed at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by a Kenyan government delegation led by Hon. Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs. This gesture underscores the importance Kenya places on this visit and the relationship with Uganda.
The purpose of President Museveni’s visit is to strengthen regional integration, boost economic cooperation, and promote stability within the East African region. The announcement from State House Entebbe highlighted the commitment of both Uganda and Kenya to work closely for mutual benefit.
During his stay in Kenya, President Museveni will have high-level discussions with President Ruto and other key Kenyan government officials. These discussions will cover a wide range of important topics, including:
