Defending champions Soroti City Cricket Club-Women triumphed over hosts Jinja SS. The Soroti team secured 4 points by winning both the morning and afternoon matches with margins of 12 and 37 runs, respectively. The team is now leading the table, eyeing another championship title.

NGO Leaders Training




Leaders from Northern and Eastern Uganda NGOs gathered in Soroti City for training on the customization of Anti-Money Laundering and Data Protection Policies. The event was organized by the Development Network of Indigenous Voluntary Associations (DENIVA).

City Clerk Transfer

Daniel Christopher Kawesi, the Soroti City Clerk, has been transferred to Masaka. His handover is expected to take place this week.




Traffic Concerns

A concerned local citizen reported a trailer truck with license plate KBJ 752G causing significant traffic jams on the Kumi-Soroti Highway near Kumi Road Market, known locally as Kikindu. The Uganda Traffic Unit in Mbale City has been urged to take immediate action to resolve the issue.
