The Minister of State for Education and Sports, Hon. Peter Ogwang, delivered one million shillings to the Christians of Pentecostal Ecclesiastes Ministries International (PEMI) on Saturday. The donation was presented by Richard Opio-Edeket, who also serves as the NRM party chairperson for Katakwi District in Akisim Parish, Ngriam County.

Opio-Edeket, representing the Minister, also announced that the church received 50 bags of cement for construction purposes. He pledged the Minister’s full support for the roofing of the church, emphasizing Ogwang’s commitment to supporting all churches in Ngriam County.

Margaret Imalingat, the District councilor for Ngariam and Okore sub-counties, and Charles Ikabat, the LC3 for Okore, encouraged the public to support Ogwang’s initiatives.

John Opolot, in charge of construction, and other church members expressed their enthusiasm about the church’s capacity to accommodate up to 1,000 Christians upon completion.

Postal Aron Oire, overseeing PEMI churches in Uganda, thanked the Minister for his dedication to serving God and urged Christians to align themselves with spiritually-minded leaders to foster development. Oire made these remarks while baptizing 137 people and blessing 73 children.
