His Highness Bakole Tair, Paramount Chief of the Obongi Mocha Clan Chiefdom, has appealed to General Muhozi Kainerugaba, Chief of the Defence Forces, to intervene in securing electricity and a hospital for Obongi District.
In a memorandum addressed to Gen. Muhozi Kainerugaba, the Paramount Chief highlighted that Obongi District is the only district in West Nile without a single electricity pole.
He further stated that Obongi is one of only two districts in Uganda lacking electricity entirely.
“I kindly request Gen. Muhozi Kainerugaba to help us overcome the lack of electricity in Obongi District,” His Highness Bakole Tair pleaded.
Responding to the media, Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Hasaka Samuel Mpimbasa confirmed he will forward the request to the Chief of Defence Forces’ office.
