City prominent Pastor Aloysious Bugingo, has effectively persuaded his followers that the Church lacks sufficient funds to begin the construction of their anticipated Pentagon Church. It is worth mentioning that nearly ten years ago, Bugingo initiated a fundraising campaign for this large-scale church project.

He boasted about its potential to become one of the largest in Africa. Consequently, his enthusiastic followers commenced fundraising efforts, raising billions of shillings and continuing to contribute more money.

The public has frequently raised questions about when this building will commence, but the Pastor has consistently responded aggressively, claiming that most of these individuals are not members of the church. Previously, he criticized those suggesting that there wasn’t enough money to start the project. However, in a recent sermon, he contradicted his previous statements by admitting that there are insufficient funds to cover the foundation costs.

“Some people are questioning when we will begin the construction of the Pentagon. How can we accomplish that when we don’t even have enough money for the foundation?” he stated, going against his prior assertions.

Unfortunately, the congregants lack the ability to demand transparency and accountability regarding the contributions they have made over the past few years. What is apparent is that the Pastor’s lifestyle has undergone a significant transformation. He now lives lavishly compared to his former self.

Bugingo has constructed an extravagant mansion in Namayumba, is protected by national soldiers, and owns one of the largest media outlets in the country, Salt Media. He also married his “dream” woman, Susan Makula. Many believe he has utilized part of these funds to finance his luxurious lifestyle.
