In Kagorogoro village, Kajunju Parish, Kyabugimbi sub-county of Bushenyi District, a young man has been found dead, apparently due to suicide by hanging. The incident, which took place on October 27, has left the community in shock. The deceased, identified as Nicholas Gumanawe, also known as Kabogo, was a 23 year old resident of Kakyenka village in the same area. He had recently returned from working in Buhweju, only to tragically take his own life.

According to SSP Martial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi Region Police Spokesperson, the events leading up to this tragedy were unusual. Kabogo had given his clothes to family members, indicating that he was saying goodbye. He also reportedly informed others that he would have a satisfying last meal. After these unsettling statements, he dressed neatly and left for an undisclosed location. His disappearance prompted his relatives to report the case to Kyabugimbi Police Station, concerned for his well-being.

Unfortunately, on Friday, October 27, Kabogo’s lifeless body was discovered hanging from a tree in a nearby farm owned by an individual named Muhoozi. The authorities were alerted to this grim scene by Lawrence Biryabalema, a fellow resident of Kakyenka village.
