At 8:00 PM yesterday evening on December 26, Loro Town Council was enveloped in gun smoke after a gunman shot three people in Loro Town Council, Oyam District, and then disappeared into a nearby small forest.

According to the report, a man in uniform covered his face with a facemask, entered a hardware shop belonging to businessman Robert Obote, and fired two bullets into the air, prompting the police from Loro Town Council Police Station to respond immediately to the scene.

Subsequently, he went to a Rice Miller factory where he shot and injured three people who were working at that time before fleeing to the forest near Loro Town Council for hiding.

The three victims were identified as Ebwol Innocent, a Bodaboda operator in Loro Town Council; Okello Emmy, an army officer who has just completed his training course, waiting for his appointment detachment; and Ekola Eric, who works at a Rice Miller in Loro Town Council. They were taken to St. John Pop Hospital ABER for treatment. Ebwol Innocent was shot in his thigh, Okello Emmy was shot in his right arm, and Ekola Eric was taken to the operating room, having sustained a bullet in his stomach that remains lodged and requires surgery.

Robert Ekwaro, the chairperson of LC3 Loro Town Council, suggests that the gunman was either interested in robbing money from the hardware shop or stealing motorcycles from Bodaboda operators.

When contacted, William Komakech, RDC Oyam District, confirmed that the police, together with army officers, were deployed on the ground, searching for the culprit in the bush to be apprehended at the time of compiling this story.
