Currently, President Museveni will have fewer concerns regarding his security and his prolonged presidency, following the recent successful amendment of the UPDF Act (2005) to establish his specially trained Special Forces Commandos as a full battalion within the Uganda People’s Defence Forces.

According to the information we have obtained, SFC commandos undergo more intense training compared to soldiers in the UPDF or military police, enabling them to execute specialized operations that the UPDF may struggle with, such as neutralizing any threats to the president’s safety.

Originally a small unit, the SFC has now expanded into a full battalion with over 2,000 commandos equipped with advanced weaponry, capable of countering the combined forces of the UPDF, military police, JAT, and others in the event of a coup, similar to how they disrupted the Bodaboda 2010 plans.

In addition to receiving superior training in various countries such as Europe, Russia, China, and North Korea, they are overseen and chosen by the first son, Gen. Muhoozi, and are well-compensated, making it challenging for them to turn against their commander in chief, Gen. Museveni.
