Mbarara City, Uganda – As the National Resistance Movement (NRM) kicked off its nomination exercise on June 2, 2025, for candidates aspiring to run for parliamentary and district leadership positions in the 2026–2031 term, one of the notable figures to pick nomination forms was Hon. Rita Atukwasa Bwahika, the incumbent Woman Member of Parliament for Mbarara City.
Hon. Atukwasa, who has served in the 11th Parliament with distinction, seeks a second term under the NRM flag.
